Resilient Cities Catalyst

Resilient Cities Catalyst (RCC) is a global non-profit organization with offices in NYC and in Athens, working across the world to advance urban resilience solutions and grow a community of practice for resilience, founded by senior members of the original 100 Resilient Cities program. Our work is centred at the intersection of three great global tendencies; climate change and its cascading impacts, urbanisation, and crisis management through the lens of long-term equitable development, as the increasing frequency and severity of climate disasters continue to lay bare the structural inequities that affect unequally the diverse communities in the world. The approach, rooted in our experience working with communities across 48 countries, rests on three action-areas: strategic planning & capacity building for communities, private entities, and cities to develop and deliver transformational projects; partnership development, and contribution to knowledge and policy advancements for resilience; and adapted localised resilience building interventions with a focus on the most vulnerable groups.
