Project Goals

Climate Change Hub (CCHub) participates in the Kali Polis Project, an urban studio semester internship program for university students in Greece      hosted by The Demos Center at The American College of Greece and supported by the Helidoni Foundation and with inaugural support from the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM). CCHub is part of the project for the Fall 2026 Semester internship period. The duration of the project is from September to December 2026 and the focus area includes the Municipalities of Kifisia and Elliniko-Argyroupolis.    

The internship offers hands-on experience covering areas from data-entry to analysis and reporting. Actions mapping of the collaborating municipalities will be integrated into the existing CCHub database system enhancing its content. This is meant to contribute to future projects, as well as data collection and coalition building around urban climate resilience projects in Greece, Europe, and globally with ACG research bodies and urban climate practitioner networks. Interns will have the opportunity to collaborate with professionals from different municipal sectors and gain exposure to methodologies related to urban resilience mapping, public sector documentation, and desktop research. Throughout the internship, they will gain practical insight into local governance and community engagement processes.    

What the Kali Polis Fall 2026 internship offers:    

●       Training on the use of the CCHub platform and action-mapping methodology.    

●       Guidance on data collection, categorization, and documentation practices.    

●       Ongoing mentorship and supervision throughout the internship period.    

●       Introduction to municipal structures, community engagement processes, and local governance practices.    

Through this partnership, Climate Change Hub enhances its role as a one-stop-hub fostering the dissemination of information and knowledge on climate action while supporting evidence-based policymaking. Mapping climate actions and projects from the academia, local and national authorities, private sector, and civil society can serve as a critical tool for the current climate action landscape in Greece, and also transparency and effectiveness. It is a living instrument for planning, communication and collaboration at both local and national level. Through the cchub.eu platform, we actively contribute to gathering information in one place (one-stop-shop), since it tangibly enables transparency and access to information. As such, citizens and stakeholders have access to data drawn from our platform in order to co-design effective solutions.
