Stelios Diakoulakis

Stelios Diakoulakis is the Deputy Regional Director for Europe at C40 Cities, a global network of nearly 100 leading cities working together to confront the climate crisis and advocating for the role of local governments in forging partnerships and scaling up climate ambition in line with the Paris Agreement targets. Since joining C40 in 2018, Stelios has worked closely with major European cities, guiding their participation in network initiatives and supporting the implementation of climate actions across key sectors such as adaptation, mobility, urban planning, and renewable energy. Previously, he served as a political and international relations advisor to the Municipality of Athens. He has extensive experience with European policies and EU funding programmes, having worked at the European Parliament, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a private development consulting firm. Stelios began his career at Chatham House, the renowned international affairs think tank in London.
